A Chronicle of Discovery: My Boat, the "Perfect Boat"
Project List

One of the reasons that I was attracted to Libations Too was that she was a relatively "stock" boat in very good condition for her age. I did not have to worry about removing extra equipment and instruments that were no longer serviceable, not to my liking, or poorly installed. This also meant that I essentially had a blank slate on which to implement my own idea of the "perfect boat".

My first couple of projects were focused on deferred engine maintenance items that were identified prior to purchase. With these projects completed, I have been able to start work on my own list...and this list has continued to grow. The outline below and the detailed pages that follow reflect both the work completed and the work that I have been considering. Many of the anticipated projects are the result of an intent to sail in some off shore SSS races, and to do more extensive coastal cruising. These projects thus reflect my intended use of the boat rather than its current condition, which as I have stated above was in near "stock" condition when she came to me.

Throughout this site I have also attempted to add enough commentary that others can benefit from my approach and experience. I know that I have learned a great deal from others, and much of that knowledge has come to me via well written project pages on various web sites. If you see something here that is neither clear nor easily understood, please let me know and I'll clarify if possible.
